4.   Overview

Raigad Pradakshina is a unique trail of around 16 km through mountains, forests, and waterfalls. Raigad Pradakshina is a pleasant experience that everyone should take at least once in their life. Although circumnavigation is a bit tough, it can be done easily if the mind is restrained. People from different parts of the state come for the tour and take a different experience with them and store joy, and satisfaction in their minds.

We always go up and see Raigad. But the surroundings of Raigad are also very beautiful, it also has historical significance. Be it the Rayanak monument in Raigad valley or the hill of Potla. You can know why the capital was built on Raigad only after completing Raigad Pradakshina. A variety of plants are found along the way, and birds are seen. This is a treat for bird lovers or nature lovers as well as botanists.

The magnificence of various places on the fort can be seen with the naked eye. Specially Takmak Tok. It is indescribable to see Takmak Tok under the fort, it is necessary to experience it first-hand. Chit Darwaza, Hirkani Buruj, Takmak Tok, then Lingana, Bhavani Tok and Cave, the hill from which Raigad was conquered by gunfire, Potla's hill, Waghdarwaja, and many more... Raigad Pradakshina is a treat for trekkers, hikers, adventurers, religious, history and nature lovers, etc. But even if you don't want to do it, living a day apart from your daily stressful life is invigorating.

10.        Who Can Come?

Anyone who has an age above 7 years can come. Boys and girls below 10 years of age will be admitted with their parents.

First-timer can come and should have some interest in trekking, hiking, and traveling.

The participants must be fit and have sufficient stamina to cover a 16 km of distance without stress.

The Youth Club Mahad does not encourage candidates more than 60 years to be a part of Raigad Pradakshina. Senior Citizens (above age 60) are allowed with attendant supervision only.

11.        How to reach?

Pachad Village or Raigad Paytha has located 24km away from Mahad taluka of Raigad District. From Mahad, you can take a private vehicle to reach Pachad.

You can also reach by your own vehicle. Five hours drive from Mumbai - 165 km approx. Four hours drive from Pune via Tamhini Ghat- 130 km approx. Five hours drive from Pune via Varandha Ghat- 150 km approx.

By Train: Veer Railway Station is the nearest railway station to reach Pachad. Once you can reach Veet station you can take local six-seaters to reach Mahad.

By Bus: Mahad is the nearest ST Depot to reach Mahad.

Note: We would suggest you call the respective depot or station to confirm availability if you are traveling by public transport.

13.        Term & Conditions

In any case, the entry pass cannot be transferred to another person against cancellation.

All participants above age 60 should have a certificate of physical fitness.

Every 15 minutes from 6 o'clock in the morning a group of 40 people will be released along with the group leader. The leader's decision will be final, and all the members should abide by it.

Tea, snacks, packed food, and lunch will be provided by the organizers on the day of the event. Other expenses will have to be done by the participants themselves.

Participants do not destroy or dirty the archaeological, historical monuments, or natural habitats on the Pradakshina Route.

Any addiction is strictly prohibited. People caught smoking or drinking alcohol will be asked to exit the Pradakshina on an immediate basis and will not be refunded.

Please do not carry or wear any valuables, ornaments, jewelry, etc. If carried, then we Do Not take any liability for the same.

Participants are not allowed to create violence or any activities that create riots.

In case of misconduct or misbehavior, the participants will be excluded from the program.

Children of age group 7 to 10 years should be accompanied by their parents otherwise they will not be admitted to the Pradakshina. Senior Citizens (above age 60) are allowed with attendant supervision only.

In case of any unfortunate incident, Youth Club cannot be held responsible, you will have to take sole responsibility for the damage caused.

The Youth Club Mahad has the final right to modify the program for unavoidable reasons.

14.        अटी व नियम

प्रवेश फी कोणत्याही कारणामुळे परत मिळणार नाही किंवा दुसऱ्या व्यक्तीला प्रवेश देता येणार नाही.

सर्व प्रदक्षिणार्थीना(Above Age 60) शारीरिक तंदुरुस्तीचे प्रमाणपत्र आवश्यक आहे.

सकाळी ६ वाजल्या पासून दर १५ मिनीटांनी ४० जणांचा ग्रुप करून प्रदक्षिणार्थीना ग्रुप लीडर सोबत सोडण्यात येईल. बरोबर असणाऱ्या ग्रुप लीडरच्या सुचनांचे पालन करावे.

प्रदक्षिणेच्या दिवशी चहा, नाश्ता, पॅक फुड व लंच आयोजकांमार्फत पुरविले जाईल. इतर खर्च प्रदक्षिणार्थीना स्वत: करावा लागेल.

प्रदक्षिणा मार्गावरील पुरातत्व, ऐतिहासिक वास्तू व नैसर्गिक गोष्टींना हानी पोचणार नाही याची खबरदारी घ्यावी.

कोणतेही व्यसन करण्यास सक्त मनाई आहे. धूम्रपान किंवा मद्यपान करताना आढळल्यास त्या वक्तीला तात्काळ प्रदक्षिणेतून प्रवेश फी परत न करता बाहेर काढले जाईल.

कृपया कोणतीही मौल्यवान वस्तू, दागिने इत्यादी परिधान करू नये.

प्रदक्षिणा दरम्यान हुल्लडबाजी, दंगामस्ती, धावपळ करू नये.

गैरवर्तन किंवा असभ्य वागणूक केल्यास प्रदक्षिणार्थीला कार्यक्रमातून बाद केले जाईल.

१० वर्षांखालील व 7 वर्षा वरील मुला मुलींना पालाकांबरोबर प्रवेश दिला जाईल. ज्येष्ठनागरिक (वय ६० पेक्षा जास्त) यांना केवळ पर्यवेक्षणासह प्रदक्षिणा करण्यास प्रवेश दिला जाईल.

आपल्या चुकी मुळे / आपल्या पाल्याच्या चुकी मुळे किंवा इतर कोणत्याही कारणामुळे अपघात अथवा नुकसान झाल्यास आपल्याला आयोजक किंवा युथ क्लब या संस्थेला पूर्णतः किंवा अंशतः जबाबदार धरता येणार नाही.

अपरिहार्य कारणामुळे कार्यक्रमात फेरफार करण्याचा अंतिम अधिकार युथ क्लब महाड या संस्थेचा राहील.
